If you are wondering, how do DBAs fit into DevOPS? How to automate my database functionality? We are very excited to announce our guest speaker Kellyn Pot’Vin-Gorman #CloudGenius. She is a member of the Oak Table Network, an Oracle ACE Alumni, serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain Oracle User Group (RMOUG) and President of RMOUG, leads the database track for the Oracle Developer Tools User Group’s KSCOPE 2014 event, and speaks widely at industry events on topics relevant to database administration and Delphix. Kellyn specialties are optimization, cloud, virtualization, monitoring, scripting, trouble-shooting, migrating/upgrading and managing of multi-platform database environments.

Annual individual membership, $40 per person, otherwise it is $25 per meeting.
Annual corporate membership is $250, and allows up to 7 people to attend per meeting from that company.

A proud member of Oak Table and former Oracle ACE Director with over 16 years of extensive experience in database administration, database group management and technical product management before joining Oracle. A proven ability to implement large-scale technical implementations for enterprise level environments. Repeatable success in high-end environment performance tuning, private/public cloud design, virtualization and migrations. Fluent as a liaison between technical and non-technical users and able to build trust through proven reliability and initiative. Specialties: optimization, cloud, virtualization, monitoring, scripting, trouble-shooting, migrating/upgrading and managing of multi-platform database environments. Kellyn has presented at RMOUG, Oracle Open World, HotSos, KSCOPE, Collaborate, SQLPass and conferences across the US and Europe, plus maintains a popular blog on database performance techniques called DBAKevlar, http://dbakevlar.com Heavily involved in the support of multiple user groups and head up multiple WIT, (Women in Technology) panels and initiatives. Kellyn has also developed technical curriculum for Oracle Education Foundation, introducing single board computing and python to the next generation through pilot initiatives and volunteer organizations.
