Oracle Performance Management Seminar - Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g

The world of Oracle performance management has a reputation as part science, part art, and mostly wizardry. This seminar imparts the core principles of performance management by sharing a methodology to investigate, determine, and implement "meaningful solutions" to real problems. This seminar covers all releases of Oracle from version 7 to 10g, predominantly focusing on versions 8i and 9i. Adequate coverage of Oracle 10g is given for completeness.

From Interstate 71 north of Columbus, take the Polaris exit, heading west. Go to the traffic light with the Chase bank branch on the corner (past Sancus Blvd), and turn LEFT into the Chase Corporate Center.

There is only one entrance where people who do not work for Chase may enter the building. The visitor parking lot is closest to that entrance but fills up by 8:30 or so - please plan to arrive as early as you can. You may park in lots other than the visitor lot, but please obey the restrictions on handicapped and/or individually reserved parking. After entering the building, check in at the security desk and proceed to the Training Center.

Gaja Krishna Vaidyanatha

Gaja Krishna Vaidyanatha has over thirteen years of industry technical expertise working with Oracle systems. In the recent years, he has worked in a variety of product management roles providing strategic and technical direction to application performance and storage management solutions for companies such as Veritas Corporation, Oracle Corporation and Quest Software. Gaja also served as a Technical Manager at Andersen Consulting (Accenture LLP), specializing in Oracle Systems Performance Management.

Gaja is the primary author of the Oracle Performance Tuning 101 published by Oracle Press. Gaja is also one of the co-authors of the book Oracle Insights : Tales of the Oak Table, published by Apress LP.

He holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. He has presented many papers at various regional, national and international Oracle conferences and has served as faculty of the IOUG-A Master Class University. Gaja is a member of the OakTable Network.
