Membership Information

How to Join?

We take memberships all the time, although our yearly memberships run from January to December.   If you wish to join, please print and fill out our membership application form, then mail along with your check payable to the Ohio Oracle Users Group to:

We now have an on-line membership form which you can use to submit your membership information. You may still mail in payment, or simply pay during registration before one of the OOUG meetings. Whether you use the on-line form or the mail in form, your membership will be effective upon receipt of dues.

Note:  Your personal information will remain confidential, to be used by the OOUG only to track membership and attendance and to guide presentation planning. We do not give or sell member information to any third parties.

Benefits of Membership

We often get the question, "Why should I join the OOUG?"  Here are a few reasons:

  1. Knowledge transfer.  We always have great presentations and members of our group are always willing to answer questions.
  2. You get to network with your peers, you can never know too many people.
  3. Door Prizes (t-shirts, books and sometimes free software).
  4. All meetings costs are covered.
  5. Free food at the meetings.
  6. Technical reps from Oracle Corporation are on-hand for presentations, show the latest, greatest things coming from Oracle and they are always willing to answer questions from the audience.
  7. We distribute information about other user groups and SIG meetings like the Ohio Valley Oracle Application User Group.
  8. OOUG is an Regional User Group (RUG) affiliated with the Independent Oracle Users Group.

Membership Structure and Fees for 2008

Corporate Memberships
  • Yearly fee of $300 for 7 attendees per meeting
  • Yearly fee of $1000 for unlimited attendees per meeting
  • Corporate membership must be paid in full to OOUG before any person can attend a meeting under a corporate membership.
  • One individual from the corporation must be designated as the OOUG liaison.
  • Meeting attendee must RSVP and state in the RSVP that meeting fee is covered by corporate membership and state name of corporation.
  • If corporate membership is not unlimited, the 8th person to RSVP under the corporate membership must pay per-meeting fee to attend the meeting.
Individual Memberships       $50.00 / year or $20.00 / meeting

For any presenter who volunteers before purchasing a membership there will be no fee per meeting or for the year. If a presenter has already paid the yearly membership they will receive a free membership for the following year.

Meeting Locations

Our meetings are generally held in Columbus Ohio, at the Dublin Community Recreation Center at Coffman Park. Each meeting agenda will detail the location and room information.
